Opening day of the 1964-65 school year was Tuesday, September 8.

Students assembled in the gym where, after the singing of “O Canada” and the school song, Principal D.A. Voth welcomed the students back to school. Vice-principal H.H. Hooge also gave a short address, wherein he reviewed former and new rules of the school.

Following the introduction of the staff and the Students’ Council executive for the year, students were assigned to their home rooms, where they registered and received timetables.

No full Student Council meeting has been held yet as class representatives have not been elected.
