Unfortunately, the Night of Plays for this year has been cancelled. Repeat: There will be no Night of Plays.

The Spring Prom will be held on Friday evening, May 8, from 8 to 12 p.m. This social will be semi-formal with the Nocturnals providing music. Tickets are being sold at school and at the door.

As this is the last social of the year for everyone, a good turnout is expected to make it successful. Candidates for Prom Queen are: Marion Fisk, Carol Lizzee, Barb MacPherson, Sherry Phillips, and Sophie Van den Born. Candidates for Prom King are: Duncan Finnigan, Jim Hestermann, Bob Lockhart, Rick Pesklevits, and Greg Sharpe.

Various discussion has arisen lately about the raising of Students’ Council fees next year. The proposed hike in the fees is from one to two dollars.

The Exposition of Practical and Fine Arts (which has an international theme this year) will be presented Friday evening, May 22. Presented by various departments, the varied program includes displays, two 2-hour-long stage shows featuring fashion shows, gym displays, and musical numbers (each show being complete in itself), as well as a supper and a sale of baked goods and ceramics. Tickets will be sold soon for the Exposition.
