The students are preparing for the Easter examinations which are to be held on April 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The Grade 8s and 9s will write in the gymnasium and the Grade 7s in their home rooms.
BASKETBALL
The Midget girls' basketball team from our school played against Garibaldi on March 20, winning 27-20. This entitles them to advance to the playoffs against Pitt Meadows.
On Wednesday, March 27, the junior boys' team played against Pitt Meadows in our gym. They won, 36-27, with high scorers Marvin Scheirer with 13 points, and Howard Baker and Darcy Krell with 10 points each.
On Thursday, March 28, the Grade 8 and 9 girls' teams played against those of Pitt Meadows in our gym. The Grade 9 girls won, 16-8, with Louise Hartney high scorer with 11 points, and the Grade 8 girls lost 17-9.
An excess amount of gym clothing, wallets and watches is being left in the change room (boys) after gym periods. It is hoped the owners of such items will pick them up before they are destroyed or converted to other purposes.
