“The Lens”, a students’ magazine sponsored by Mr. Cone, is beginning to make progress. The editorial and advertising committees have been chosen, and manuscripts for the magazine are to be submitted at the office.
Mr. Mountain’s Viennese Waltz Club is also progressing satisfactorily.
In the recent sales of poppies in the schools of the district, MRJHS placed second, contributing a total of $34.65.
Sports: Volleyball
On November 27, the Junior and Senior girls’ teams won their games, playing against Como Lake in our gym.
On November 29, several of our teams travelled to Mission. The Junior “A” and “B” girls’ teams were defeated in their games even though the score of one was quite close, being 20-18 in favor of Mission. The Junior Boys’ team won their game.
House scores are: House 1, 2 points: House 2, 2 points; House 3, 4 points; House 4, 0 points.
