M.R. Jr. High Highlights

Thursday, March 29, 1962 (#1)

At the grade seven public-speaking contest at Webster's Corners on March 23, Cathy Rhodes of 7E was runner-up for first prize. Other representatives from our school were Gordon Muth, 7A, and Cathy Scobie, 7E.

At the students’ council meeting on March 22 it was announced that the mascot of the school, as chosen by the sports teams, is a golden bear. The subject of a prefect system for next year was also brought up.

School crests are now on sale at the canteen.

The Easter examinations begin next week on Monday and will last until Thursday.

A report of the “open house” will be in next week’s paper.
