Commodore Computer Club News

The Commodore Computer Club News was a tabloid newspaper which I produced using pretty primitive equipment: a Commodore 64 computer, a Gemini dot-matrix printer and software called Write Now by Cardco. The paper was printed through Carolina Publications, where I worked. It was distributed at club meetings to the members and also through local computer stores.

Typesetting the articles in the paper was very similar to typesetting which I did at my job at Carolina, just like doing HTML pages is now. By inputting various codes in the articles, different type sizes and effects could be achieved.

There is a certain difficulty of reproducing this 11″x17″ paper in a digitized form easily, but I have managed to figure out how to do this with the issues below, which are available in PDF format. If you read the paragraphs at the top of the first page of the first issue, by the way, you will notice that the text is all out of order!

After the first one, I have jumped to the last which are only 4 pages each, thus a bit quicker to do...

ISSUE #15 (SEPTEMBER, 1985)
