The Valentine Social was held Saturday evening, February 13. With the Hi-Lites supplying the music, and the gay decorations, including a large Valentine mobile, everyone attending had an enjoyable evening.

News of the Swim Party, held last Monday, will be in next week's Gazette.

Barry Henshall and Randy Arber were the two chosen to attend the eighteenth annual High School Conference at U.B.C. early this month.

Pat Blow, Bruce Hornidge, and Michael Quigley were the three students representing Maple Ridge on the 'Education in Democracy” trip to Victoria last weekend, where they viewed the provincial legislature in action.

These five students will be giving reports of their respective trips at a coming assembly, and full coverage of the reports will be given in future issues of the Gazette.

Several M.R.S.S.S. students also travelled to the annual Model United Nations Assembly held at West Vancouver High last weekend. Among the speakers were the Hon. Paul Martin, Minister of External Affairs, and Ray Perrault, provincial Liberal Leader. It is possible that a report of this will also be given at the assembly, and a subsequent report will appear in the Gazette.
