On Tuesday, November 3, Maple Ridge students will challenge a team of Mission students when the television program “Reach For The Top” is taped at Chilliwack. This program will be broadcast on CBUT on December 1. Members of the Maple Ridge team are Alice Kleaman, Eddy Stipp, Lynne Taber, and Trevor Wilson. The taping will follow a dinner at the Empress Hotel banquet room in Chilliwack.
A roller skating party will be held at Edmonds Roller Rink in Burnaby. Tuesday evening, November 10, from 7 to 10 o’clock. Price of tickets will be a dollar, not including skate rental.
The Harlem All-Stars basketball team will be playing the Senior Boys’ Team in our gym Saturday night, November 14. This will follow a preliminary game between the Haney Esquires and the Intermediate Boys. The game starts at 7:00, and ticket prices are Adult: 1.25, Students: 1.00, and Children: 75 cents.
Season tickets for the basketball games go on sale this week from the members of the Senior Boys’ and Girls’ teams. The team which sells the least tickets will be the victims of a Slave Day.
Deadline for the purchase of school sweaters is November 15.
