Those nominated for president are Michael Dickie, Mike Lynch, Laura MacDonald, Joanne Morsh, and Cathy Rhodes. Those nominated for secretary-treasurer are Cathy Booth and Margaret Fogg.

Applications have been submitted for special exams which entitle the person with the highest marks in the test to receive a trophy. Subjects included by these examinations are Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.

SPORTS

Several students are learning fencing under the direction of Mr. Hunken and Mrs. Woss. The classes are held in the gym after school and are progressing with the various steps in this art.

A trip for the members of the tumbling team and the Saturday morning fitness group is planned May 18. The groups will travel to Exhibition Park, Vancouver, by bus, where they will visit Playland and the various buildings therein.

Another trip for Grade 8s and 9s is planned for May 25, or the next suitable Saturday if weather conditions necessitate. They will travel, by bus, to Hollyburn Mountain, where they will be free to such things [sic] as the chairlift and the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

House scores at the present are House One, 2 points; House Two, 2 points; House Three, 4 points; House Four, 0 points. The amount of points is expected to rise greatly, however, as the students take part in various track and field meets being held in the near future.
